The Tiberius wine is named after the Roman emperor Tiberius who had the bridge Le Pont Romaine de Sommierè built. This allowed the Vignerons du Sommierois to cross over.

The winegrowers work with respect for the terroir. Excellent wines are made in this ‘cave cooperative’.

Climate:
It is a typical semi-continental and semi-Mediterranean climate in which the different winds play an important role. Mistral (north-east), tramontin (north-west) and marin (south) offer a varied play of weather types and strongly determine the character of the wine.

Soil:
Marl with a lot of clay and limestone.
